Hello everyone,

Today a new system software for your A7/R/S and A6000 has been released. You can download the software update using one of the following links:

A7:  Win  Mac

A7R:  Win  Mac

A7S:  Win  Mac

A6000:  Win  Mac

What's new?

1. Startup time is shortened. The camera will start up around 30% faster.
2. ILCE-6000 now supports shooting movies in 50p/25p (PAL) and 60p/30p/24p (NTSC mode) using the XAVC S format that supports high bit rates*.

*When shooting movies in XAVC S format, ensure that an SDXC card of Class 10 or faster is used. Card should be formatted in the camera after camera has been updated.

Good to see Sony update these cameras after being on the market for quite some time now!

Great news! But still no disabling flash via menu in M/S/A/P modes!? This would be very needed in underwater photography.
