I have an a350, an a77, and an Elinchrom D-Lite basic studio lighting kit which includes a trigger to fit to the hot shoe flash. I am unclear about the various hot shoe adaptors that Sony have, some as expensive as £150, that would enable me to mount the Elinchrom trigger. Some of the technical information mentions voltage protection. Does this only relate to cable conected devices? I cannot see the Elinchrom trigger pumping damaging voltage into the camera but do not know.
I also want to operate my flash HVL-F42AM remotely without using the in-camera flash as the trigger. Can that be done with one of the Sony accessories?
