DSC RX 100 BATTERY LIFE IS AWFUL

cCan anyone tell me why the battery life is so poor with this camera, if I leave it for a week without using it then I have to recharge it

Sorry Richard, I'm not sure if this is helpful but the battery life on my RX100 is excellent. I would guess that you've got a bad battery. I have just been on a trip where I took by Alpha-A65 and left the RX100 at home for two weeks. I've just checked it now and the battery is still at 100%.

not charged mine for weeks and took a few dozen pics, still shows nearly full. must be a faulty camera.

I bought my RX100 about a week ago, and I have a battery issue.

Battery is drained to about 50% over night w/o shooting any pics !!!

I have now tried the following : In the menues I have turned " USB Charging " to OFF and I have turned "Drop Sensor" to OFF.

I am now charging with an external SONY charger, and I hope this will solve my problem.

New battery is not available , not even via SONY webpage.

The reason for "USB Charge" is the fact, that I do have several gadgets, that are drained when left in charger w/o charger power.
