App for Windows Phone

I recently bought a HDR AS-15, which I am very pleased with. The only thing missing is an app for my phone. I know there are PlayMemories for IOS and Android, but nothing for the WP platform.

I own an SLT A77, one NEX-5 and two NEX-5N at the present, none of them has WiFi, but I am in the scope of upgrading to a NEX-6 or the forthcoming NEX-7N. However, I will need an app for my Windows Phone to fully make use of these cameras. So what is the status, is there an app in the making?

Hello Freddo777 - Welcome to the Sony Forums

I cannot say either way about the possibility of Windows Phone apps in the future. However, developers from Sony are always reading these forums so your comments will be noticed by the appropriate people.

Hi! Thanks for a somewhat disappointing but honest reply.

Just FYI, one out of fifteen people chooses WP when buying a smartphone in the UK, and whopping one out of 7,5 in Italy. WP is gaining very well, so Sony better move on.

I am considering purchasing a further Sony SLT camera but there is no Windows Phone App (we need one for both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1). Come on Sony, read the market. Windows Phones are taking off and you need to develop Sony Playmemories to have a Windows Phone App to ensure that Sony make market share progress in the future.
