Alpha 350 dslr + non af lens

Could someone please advise me how I can use my 500mm mirror lens (with adapter) on my 350.I use this lens on both my Minolta 9000 + 7000 in aperture priority + manual focus . However on my 350 the screen says no lens attached every time .

Unlike the a100 or a700 the a200/300/350 do not have a menu facility to set the shutter to fire when a lens is not recognised.

The only way to get the a350 to fire with an unrecognised lens is to set the camera to manual (M) mode.

Of course, you will need to focus and set exposure manually.
