Hi there

Try the following

Goto the "Settings" Menu
Goto "Digital Setup"
Goto "Digital Tuning"
Goto "Program Sorting"

In "Program Sorting" you should be able to rearrange and delete the desired channels.

Thank you. What I say and had tried. Only to lock or hide a channel, but not delete it.

On that page explains just what I said in my previous post: you can only lock, hide or change the order, but does not delete a channel, which is what I want.

Thank you. Only one version of the manual tells you how to delete a channel. But my TV does not do anything to use that method.

Hi Alberto

-OR a “mistake” on manual (on Italian manual for example (page 111), there isn’t a “deleting” option)

-OR other model (manual is for more models KDL-xxV58xx and KDL-xxW58xx),

-OR other firmware version.

As you can see on Sony’s Support site, there’s also a firmware update: http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/KDL-40W5840/downloads/FW_Bravia1740SA

Last firmware version is: PKG 1.740SA

The only way that remains (but it’s too hard and not so quick way!!!) is the Digital Manual Tuning, in order to select which channels to store. In that case it must be also disabled, in Technical Set-up, the “Auto Service Update”.

Be careful!!!

Once updated:

“...Can I install an older version of Firmware?

Installation of older firmware is not supported...”
