Sony KDL-32BX300 sound issues

So, I just bought the Sony home theatre BDV-EF220, and I wanted to get the television's (KDL-32BX300) sound through the home theatre's speakers. Does any of the television's HDMI sockets support ARC? The model is about three years old.

I'm just wondering, if I should buy the optical sound cable or is it possible to get the television's sound through the home theatre with just the HDMI (to be more specific.)

Hi there

I have just had a look at the specifications of your TV. Unfortunately your TV does not support ARC (normally HDMI1). Also if ARC is supported it normally has the letters "ARC" labled on the HDMI input on the TV.

You would need to connect your home theature with an optical cable for sound as well has a HDMI cable for video.
