Delete error list on 'Recordings'

I have a KDL-32HX753 TV. I set up a timer recording via the TV which needed a USB (done in a panic moment!!). This I now realise was a stupid mistake and afterwards I did record the programme through my sonyrecorder. Nevertheless, I am now stuck with a permanent orange 'recording' light on the front of the TV. I can see the error list on the 'Home, recordings screen' and have tried to delete the attempted recording which is there under 'error list' but cannot delete by using options.

How can I delete it please? Or do I have to use the TV - 'factory settings' and start from scratch? In this case how do I do this?

Grateful for any advice having made this mistake in haste. I am familiar with the workings of the Home Screen but cannot work out how to clean up this mess! Many thanks.
