Hi Skarhund and welcome to Club Vaio.

You need to stop VARU.EXE from running automatically at startup.

Usually in Vista you will find this in Task Scheduler. Start -> Type in 'Task Scheduler' in the start search and open it. Delete the task to run VARU.EXE.

Usually in XP you will find it in the Startup Group. Start -> Run -> msconfig and uncheck the box next to VARU.EXE under the Startup Tab.

I have installed the standard install that comes with my VAIO TX5, but when I loaded to VISTA for the first time, it asked me to click continue to install the applications. I pressed cancel and the system ran fine with all drivers and none of the **** software.

Everytime I load windows, it asks me to click continue to install the applications, but I just press cancel evey time as I dont want them.

My Question is, is there a way of getting rid of that bluey/grey screen that asks me to install the applications, or so i just have to press cancel every time I load it up.

Skarhund
please help me.
