Only problem is it's started to bring up a few error messages whenever I start up:-

oobefldr.dll
rthdvcpl.exe
0x000007b

It says these applications aren't compatible with Windows or something along those lines.

Then a Windows error msg comes up saying "HD Audio Control Panel Stopped Working".

Today, I tried using the Recovery Tool, looked all ok, put my DVD in, then it said "Recovery Tool Has Stopped Working".

PLEASE PLEASE CAN SOMEONE OFFER ANY ADVICE TO HELP???

Many thanks in advance!

I would also advise you to recover your machine. Backup any data that you have on your machine.

Restart it and on the VAIO screen press F10 serveral time until the recovery screen comes up.

Follow the instructions to recover your machine to factory settings and start again.

If the problem then persists it may be worth taking it back or contacting Sony.

(Sony will tell you to recover before anything else so its worth doing it now)

Good luck!
