CAMERA NOT WORKING - HELP

Hi,

I am using MSN and my camera was working the other day (I am using an SZ5). My computer has automatically installed updates and I think that is why my camera is now not working.

I have gone into the VAIO Camera Utility but when I go in I get the following message:

An attempt to initialize the camera has failed. Please check other software is using the camera.

Can anyone help me?

Hi Helen,

You could always try a System Restore back to when the camera was working.

What version of Vaio Camera Capture Utility do you have installed?

Was one of the updates KB931812?

How do i tell what the updates were?

Hi helinlouise,

My computer has automatically installed updates and I think that is why my camera is now not working.

Try a system restore back to a date when it did work.

Start > All programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore - select a date when you know the camera was working.
EDIT :smileyblush: I really should make sure I complete a post before making a cup of tea....
