Can not start the recovery utility.

i need to re create a new system recovery disk has my other have gor corrupted, when i run the vaio recovery utility i can the following message, "Can not start the recover utlity because the recovery partation has been deleted.
You need to use the recovery media kit to recover your computer".

I have used the control panel and check the hard disk, and the partition is there, what can i do.

i have use symantic partition 8.00 to increase the size off c drive and reduce the d drive, i have used this on other song vaio with no problems.

Can you help.

Hi raywilliams,

Try tapping F10 at boot when you see the Sony Logo. Assuming that the recovery partition still there and is not corrupt, this will take you to the HDDR utility.

If that has no effect then you may need to order a recovery media set from Vaio-Link.

I don't suppose you have Norton GoBack installed??
