Hi gyron,

The process CC App (ccApp.exe) stands for "Common Client Application" and is used in conjunction with a number of Symantec Norton programs, such as Norton AntiSpam or Norton Antivirus.

Open Norton Live Update and download and install all recent updates - especially those for AntiSpam or Common Client modules. There is meant to be a recent fix in the CC module.

I suppose it does no harm if left to shut down by itself or you can just End Task. However, whatever you do, don't stop this process from running or your AntiVirus protection may not work!!

It lasts about 5-6 seconds and clears itself whereafter computer continues to shut down. What is this please and can the Error Message be cleared/solved?
Thank you,
Gyron
