Downgrade Problem

Hey all I am trying to downgrade my FE11-H from Vista back to XP Media center but I can't get it to boot my system recovery disks the boot order is correct also. Previously I have pressed one of the F keys but its not working this time. Any ideas as to what I could do?

Hi neilquane

As long as the recovery partition has not been deleted you could try pressing F10 repeatedly as soon as you see the sony logo when starting you vaio, this normally would start the recovery process..

Recovery partition has been deleted any more ideas?

Did you test the recovery disc's before upgrading to Vista..?

Have you tried Recovering your Vaio by following this guide ..?

I have used the disc's before and they have worked perfectly. I also folllowed the guid which you gave the link to but still no joy.

The computer starts the CD drive up as if it is reading it but then continues with vista.

Is there anyway to recover/reinstall my recovery partition?

Are you using the correct Recovery DVD?

The Recovery Set makes two discs - a System Disc and an Applications Disk. You need to use the System Disc.

Have you reset the BIOS to its Default Values?

I am using the corret disc yes, and I followed the instructions to se the bios to default.

It is just odd
