motion eye FE31H help

HI every one !

I have VAIO FE-31H windows xp media center. I got back my vaio from sony few days ago following a problem on hard disck and a scaratched scrren, i got back as new. But now i cant use the bult in motion eye camera, uner my computer i can see USB video device when i click twice i have a message video preview failer. I doesn t work with MSN or skype neither. Before i used to have a software related to the camera to make some sttings that is not installed neither.

Is there any thing i can do my self as i dont want to send it back to the reseller..

Welcome to ClubVAIO

I would backup all your files and do a factory recovery (Press F10 repeatedly when you see the VAIO logo when you boot up and follow the instructions).

This will return your VAIO to the way it was out of the factory so you can start fresh and hopefully everything will sort itself out.

gud idea! but wouldn t be hassel free and faster if the motion eye software is available for download by the way the computer is freshly reinstalled by sony as the had disk was changed i dont have a recovery disk yet but if i make it now to reinstall everything wouldn t be useless to do that as the camera software is not here any way? i cheked the download section of this site i found the original drivers but it s just the same installed for the camera . So its just one software missing does it exist for download some where.

Hi cybersaber,

your Motion eye problem is probably due to the camera not being connected correctly when the Vaio was repaired..?

I have passed this info onto Sony and you should hopefully be contacted soon..
