      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;My lap top has been awy with Sony for repair,I want to check the memory installed, I had previously increased this from 512 to 1024, where can I find the info telling me if tyhis is stiil the case/&lt;BR /&gt;I also had my C &amp;amp; D drives combined they are now separate again, is there any benefits having these combined and how I set about doing this.&lt;BR /&gt;Would appreciate help and advise.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;PRE __jive_macro_name="quote" class="jive_text_macro jive_macro_quote"&gt;I also had my C &amp;amp; D drives combined they are now separate again, is there any benefits having these combined and how I set about doing this.&lt;BR /&gt;Would appreciate help and advise.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hi SIGM,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There are benefits to be gained in having a partitioned drive..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For example if you store your personal data, pictures, etc. on the D drive and a problem occurs with the operating system, the C drive can just be recovered, by following this &lt;A href="http://www.vaio-link.com/tutorials/recovery/recovery.asp?l=en" target="_blank"&gt;guide&lt;/A&gt;,  therefore hopefully, leaving your personal files on the D drive intact.. &lt;img class="lia-deferred-image lia-image-emoji" src="https://community.sony.si/html/@0248C33DDCF34AA61B8F8F33F5AFA5BE/images/smilies/013.png" alt=":wink:" title=":wink:" /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can repartition your drive if you wish by using either the Vaio recovery utiltity &lt;A href="http://www.vaio-link.com/tutorials/recovery/recovery.asp?l=en" target="_blank"&gt;guide&lt;/A&gt; , at number 10 select C &amp;amp; D Drive Recovery (Change Partition Sizes) or there are third party programs such as &lt;A href="http://www.partition-manager.com/" target="_blank"&gt;Paragon Partition Manager&lt;/A&gt; ..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
