Vaio Battery dead

My battery has suddenly given up on me! It was fine one day and then the next.....nothing. I take care of the battery and the cycles and make sure it is completly run down every couple of weeks. I think it happened after a windows update...but not sure. Can anyone help?

If you think the battery problem happened after an update, try a system restore to a point before the updates were installed..

Vista System restore

If this does not help and depending on your Vaio model you could take your Vaio to a local Sony store and try another battery in your Vaio, this will help to identify where the problem lies..

I know someone who had a similar problem with a new vaio C seies laptop from john lewis. The battery stopped working suddenly, but it turned out that some of the battery charging circuitry was faulty, not the battery, so I would recommend to first try and uninsall the update to see if it makes a difference, if not, then seek technical help to check whether it is actually the battery that has gone wrong.
