A typical eg is getting Endnote version 8.0.2 to install and operate with microsoft word.<BR />Endnote is a literature referencing software but I can't get it to run on my pc eventhough I've successfully intalled the same software on a desktop and a toshiba laptop. on my vaio laptop, I keep gettng error message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022). click ok to terminate the application" and it terminates Endnote. <BR />After installing microsoft office, the add-ins in ms-word fails to recognize the endnote toolbar unlike it does when installed on other pcs. I've changed the version of microsoft office several times but the problem has persisted<BR />I've constantly reported the error to microsoft but only a few weeks ago I got a feed back that "the problem is caused by the Serial ATA storage controller driver". the link further gives this information " Serial ATA Storage Controller Driver was created by Sony. Sony is aware of this problem and working as quickly as possible to make a solution available".<BR /><BR />The link to the sony website does not have any link to problem in question and I can't find the problem with mentioned anywhere else. Is this experience perculiar to me or other clubvaio members have similar experiences?
