Otherwise there is a fix involving insulating the touchpad from the palmrest.

I'm working in a HelpDesk and since a year ago, users who has a VAIO VGN-SZ71WN are having problems with the touchpad. Sometimes, the mouse right-left way become inverse; sometime before standby, sometimes before starting in stamina mode, sometimes before undock the laptop... When it happens, the left button of the touchpad fails.
I've tried to re-install the driver and/or install a newer version of it. But it doesn't work.
Someboby can help me?
