I've encountered a problem with my fairly new Sony VAIO FW. The left hinge has gotten loose, and after doing some research on the Internet, I now realize that is a fabrication problem.

I've dropped it in my local shop and they forwarded it to Sony, who - as I feared from reading other peoples experiences - claim that it is I who has broken the machine. I must say that I feel very screwed over - I use the VAIO as a stationary, and I don't travel with it, and I can therefore say that I'm 100% sure that I don't have any blame in this.

Is this really how you treat your customers, Sony?

/Joachim

Edit:

A couple of threads from people having the exact same problem as I:

http://club.vaio.sony.eu/clubvaio/nl/nl/forum/printthread%3Bjsessionid=C9C58311C866C852D8FB31E84F59B127.carth-onasi?thread=64122

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=5108481

http://www.fixya.com/support/t2284774-sony_vaio_vgn_fw21l_loose_hinge

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=396624

http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=383259
