I would like to restore the original BIOS on my VGN-FE31Z after an update (to version R0172J3) seems to have caused a problem. Unfortunately, I don't know what the original BIOS version was. Can anybody help? I bought my FE31Z in January 2007, with XP preloaded. A version number would be fantastic!<BR /><BR />Also: is the original BIOS included somewhere on my recovery disk - so can I restore it from that? Or should I be able to find the version for download on the internet somewhere? If neither of these will work, is there a way of resetting the BIOS (perhaps by removing the CMOS battery or using a jumper on the motherboard somewhere)?
