win 7 64bit function keys not working

Hello

I just did a clean install of windows 7 professional 64 bit on my laptop, VGN-SR41M and found my function keys not working, i just downloaded drivers for the touchpad so i can scroll now from a different thread. the link sony provided did not solve the problem. if any one knows of a download which will get the fuction keys to work please let me know.

Hi George and welcome.

You need to reinstall the Vista Sony Utilities that were originally installed - there are no new ones for Windows 7.

Go Here: -

http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/preinstalled/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGN-SR41M_S

and download and install these in order:

SFEP
Sony Shared Library
Vaio Event Service
Setting Utility Series

You will probably need to install everything from SFEP at the top to Vaio Smart Network at the bottom to get everything to work.
