Help i am thinking of upgrading my AR51M to windows 7, two things can I just buy the upgrade version or do I have to buy the full version. Also it says it dose not support the Nvida 8400 gt drivers will it still upgrade Ok

Any help most wanted

mine is AR71zu, just upgraded to windwos 7 ultimate version, all hardware suppored, you can use the vista drivers, I bought the full version from a MSDN gold partner, only £50 for ultimate version and activated online already.

Hi manchesterred and welcome to Club Vaio.

You can buy the full version as trueman_uk says but that requires a lot of work to reinstall all the drivers and all your programs and software. In addition you will lose all preinstalled Vaio software which you cannot get back.

I would recommend you buy the Windows Home Premium Upgrade Disc (£70ish) and carry out an upgrade from Vista. This will use all the drivers and utilities already on your Vaio and you will keep all the software, programs and settings already on your Vaio. You will probably just have to install a new nVidia driver for the 8400M GT but this is readily available.
