VAIO Update 5 not working

I have a FW41M laptop. I see new update avalible on the sony site but nothing in the VAIO update manager 5

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling no luck

help would be appreciated

I could just update manually but would like the update 5 to work 🐵

Could you confirm that you are using the original sony supplied OS on your FW41M please.?

I've passed the info onto Sony hopefully they'll be able to investigate further.

I am using windows 7 that was updated from vista.

used the win7 upgrade from sony

There have been some new things happning to the update 5 the last days.
The new updates were showed yesterday but after I installed them it seems that the older updates are still there, eventhou newer versions are installed.

What is the language of the OS on your Vaio?

Could you list all the older updates that are being offered to download?

Hi there

I have been experiencing the same if not very similar issues (sorry but I added my post to a different thread before).. it was with regards to Vaio Update 5 prompting me to update 3 x Vaio Content Metadata programs even though I already have the latest versions, strange thing is it was prompting to download 1 version before the current one.

I have received a response from the Sony Vaio Link Team themselves so maybe anyone reading this will find it helpful to know they are aware of the issue and possible there will be a fix at a later date. Sadly you will just have to go on ignoring these update requests until then.

"Regarding your email query periodic updates are released for the VAIO Update program itself so there is a good chance this will be fixed in the future."
