Sony Support have advised editing the registry and/or a complete recovery. I don't see why I should have to do this with a new laptop especially since the machine seems to be working alright otherwise. Has anyone else experienced problems with this drive. I am sceptical about the effectiveness of Sony drives. I had a Rock laptop with a DVD RW DW-U50A which would only read and write certain disks. Any support would be appreciated.<BR /></P></BODY></HTML> Fri, 29 Jan 2010 23:03:03 GMT Blue_Genie 2010-01-29T23:03:03Z https://community.sony.si/t5/pcs-accessories/blu-ray-drive-optiarc-bd-rom-bc-5500s4/m-p/38624#M49596 <HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY><P>I bought a Sony NW21ZF a couple of months ago and the Optiarc BD Rom BC-5500S4 won't burn CDs.
