Vaio W series doesn't start

Hi i bought a Vaio W series netbook and all of a sudden it doesn't start anymore. I slide the power button and it turns green only for a bit (i can also hear it tries to boot for a sec)
The battery light was red and now it's off but it turns red when i try to start the computer.

i have barely used the laptop. it;s brand new!

any suggestions? haven't called Sony yet.

Hi mariuscalu,

welcome to Club VAIO..

Try this...

Unplug the power supply and remove the cable and all connected devices from your Vaio, then remove the battery.

Once done press and hold down power button for a full 30 seconds, then replace the battery and then plug in power cord. Once completed turn the laptop on..

If that does not help try removing the battery and running the VAIO on AC power..

If after trying the above your vaio will still not start up then I suggest you contact Sony Vaio support,to find contact details for Sony Vaio support..

Open Vaio support, either by clicking Support at the top of this page or use the following link:Vaio support

Under Log-in option 2: Select your VAIO model, next to Select Model Category - Select your model from the drop down list, in your case VPC W.

Then next to Select Model - select your VAIO W model

Then click Log-In

Once logged select Get In Touch
