vaio insides into another tower case

Hi all has anyone ever changed there viao tower
ie mother board and drives etc into a diffrent tower case ??
dont know if my mother board and power pack will fit into another tower case i know the drives etc will fit no probs
but the i link socket and memory stick could be tricky i think

anyone ever done this my vaio still looks cool but just fancy a change of look and a new tower would be cool but still love my vaio pc
any idea's folks

LOL Bri, wouldn't suggest it, the board is a special size and you'd loose all sorts of functionality.

Doubt it would work, actually I give it a 20% chance of working.

thanks for that Kee-lo m8 i kinda thought that i would loss more than its worth i just want to change a bit of how it looks not that it looks to bad
just wanted a change
whats that new sony with the water coller etc on
do you know where i can find some pics etc of some new vaio's
might just upgrade to a newer one and pass this on to my son

LOL for some months I've seen in the TV a guy, which has build his own case.

I wish I would have the tools and abilities to do the same.:smileyrolling_eyes:

its not to hard to do as you can buy all the drive mounts etc to make your own tower
it would be a little messing around to make one but would be neat to do

Bri,

The RA series is the one with the water cooler.

Expect to pay £1700 for it

The RA104 is a very nice machine, but it's over hyped.
You'll like the graphics card....

A few people here have RA304's

Maybe totally out of topic,

but for the money which I would pay for the RA304, I could built a PC with same specs + I could buy 20" TFT with a high resolution.

If you want an RA series, i suggest RA304, very good spec, never caused problem except for some issues with fifa 2005 and maybe other games (only have fifa)

expect to pay £1699 for an RA304, the 'silent' liquid cooled system is not silent at all but is quite cool, put my hand inside the gap in the tower and its freezin.

i bought RA304 and 19inch x-black new HS range. Very impressed and extremely happy with it.

RA very good for storing recorded tv, 500gb.

If you got the money, i would recommend.
