XL302 Connection With Sky Box

Hi
Could anyone tell me exactly how they are connecting their XL302 to the Set Top Box or Sky Box. What I mean is what cables/connection are you using. I have tried all options I can think of but when I run the "TV Signal Setup" in Windows media, all I get is the black screen, picking up no signal at all from the Sky Box. Any and all help appreciated.

Hi bkilma and welcome to the Club.

All the XL users must be having an early night - so I am answering this to show we are not ignoring you and to keep your question near the top of the list.

I do not have a XL but from memory I believe most connect their Sky boxes by: -

1. S-Video cable for video (S-Video to S-Video)
2. Stereo audio cable for sound (2 X Phono to 2 X phono)

Some with XP-MCE may connect by the coaxial ariel cable and use a "IR Blaster" to change the channels on the Sky box using the MCE Remote.

I'm sure a XL user will be along soon!!

Sorry, i am an XL owner (201) but wanted to ditch my (free to air) Sky box to reduce the footprint under my TV, and instead use the freeview in the TV and MC.

I'm waiting for someone to produce a freesat PCI card for the media centre, that can possibly take a subscription card built-into it and connect to my dish feed. Is this available or ever going to happen in the UK?
