VGC-LA2 Media Centre Stutters

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help, I have a VGC-LA2 with Vista and have a problem with Media Centre. I am using the digital tuner and find that the picture stutters on live-tv but seems to be ok if the source is DVD.

Can anyone suggest how I can resolve this?

Other than this, it's a brilliant piece of kit.

Welcome to the forum,
Aside of using only a dedicated free view box you will never get your live tv to not struggle. All I can reccommend is getting you computer in tip top condition using the brilliant Tune Up utilities free for 30 days and then uninstall it if you don't want to buy it from here Do all it reccommends especially the registry defragmentation

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it but to no avail... The frustrating thing is that I have another LA2 which works just fine, even on the same cable, etc... So it leads me to believe that something is wrong with the digital tuner or video card... Does anyone have any suggestions that I could try?

If you suspect the card then it maybe worth getting Sony to have a look at it and possibly replace it.

Thanks for the advice... I performed a system restore and all seems ok now. I hope this helps others with similar issues...
