Can anyone give any help on connecting vaio to hd bravia tv ie. connections, leads, quality, problems etc.

We will need to know what model Vaio you are trying to connect????

They all have different outputs.

Vaio is a vgnfe28b, Bravia is a kdl40s2010

Well your model has S-Video which is not great for the HD TVs as it is really designed for SD TV resolutions but it will work.

There are some converts to S-Video to HDMI which is the standard HD quality input but these cost upwards of £100.

Personally i would try using the s-video using a cable that looks like this. You can buy them from any computer shop, they are very common. Here is one on amazon only 50p!

Here is the Spec for you notebook with all the outputs you have.
