DVI monitor connection

Hi..
I've just bought a Dell 22" widescreen monitor to use with my Sony RC202 - but I only get a signal when connecting through the VGA output- using the DVI cable - sends the Dell into sleep mode. I have spoken to Dell and they ( of course) say their monitor is working ok, as it's showing the signal via VGA, and that the Desktop must not be outputting a signal through the DVI socket.

Any ideas?

Hi wayno,

Could be a hardware problem but just make sure your RC 202 has a digital display set up.

Have you got both VGA and DVI connected?

Go to nVidia Control Panel -> nView Display Settings -> Choose "Clone" as the nView Display Mode -> Detect Displays and you should get one Analogue Display and one Digital Display. Check the box for 'Make this the Primary Display' against the Digital Output.

Check that the output resolution is correct for the Dell.
