Observe how many drives computer possesses. Usually Hard Disk isdivided in two parts : C and D. C usually is used to store programs. D for data. The drive D is larger than C,. We will say that partition comes to be a slice. If you have a Hard drive of 100 Gb. The partition C can have 30 Gb and the partition D, 70 gb.

You can change the partition of his HD with the recovery disk that comes with his computer.

Another fast and easy option and (if you have USB in his computer) to acquire an external HD. I recommend the:

http://www.lacie.com or

http://www.lacie.com/uk /

you can acquire a HD of good quality and low cost.

I hope to help....

REALLY thanks for your advice, but your advice for a external harddrive isn't I think for the programms, so you mean first do a recovery with changin the size of the partitions and then use the extern drive for back ups.....
