To whom it may concern,

I have the same problem as thousands of other Sony GRX laptop users: my 1,5 years old laptop won't start up anymore. I am therefore looking for a used motherboard to replace a faulty chip. As I said, literally thousands of other users have the same problem and I'd like to mention at this point that it was the last time that I bought a sony product. I am in contact with various computer hardware magazines and find sony's attitude towards those problems inacceptable.

Hi Jens,

I have a GRX316MP myself, and thank god it's not died like a lot of people have described, but I do feel Sony need to do more, as they were not cheap at the time.

I did hear Sony were charging £80 for repairing the RAM slots to keep the authorities quiet, but really it's not good enough, as Trading Standards have laws which state 5 years garuntee.

Hope you win, I've signed the petition and I hope all GRX/GRT/GRV/GR users will too, no matter if it works or not, Sony need to see we won't sit silently!
