Creative Zen Micro Media Explorer

I have just bought a Creative Zen Micro MP3 player and installed the media explorer software on my K415S.

Every time I try and run the program I get a BSOD (blue screen of death) and the computer restarts. When I send the error report to Microsoft they report that it is a known issue with the PCI7420 flashcard media controller installed on my machine.

Has anyone found the same and managed to get around this problem?

I've tried but for some reason, I cant register my machine to open a case. The registration screen is different to that in the help file and it will not allow me to enter my full model number or serial number

I think I am going to have to call them on Monday.

You can find your seriel and model number on the bottom of your laptop.

It must be a 12345678 - 1234567.

yeah, i found that but all the screen will allow me to enter is either the first number or the second. I choose "vaio laptop" from the top drop down box but the field lengths are not long enough to enter the full details!

if you try and register a new device, then check the help file for how the window should look, you'll see only 4 boxes in the registration window to fill in, but more in the help file.

1. select your product, for example : VAIO(laptop)
2. type in the product number, for example : 12345678
3. type in the seriel number, for example : 1234567
4. type in the purchase date, for example : ??.??.375 (after Christus):smileycool:
