Playmemories Home on a 4K Laptop

I'm using Playmemories Home with a 4K HP laptop. I've downloaded the latest 64 bit version. It's reasonably stable except when it comes to opening the Settings window from the Tools dropdown menu. Basically the Settings window never pops up and the only way out is to open up task manager and shut the application down and start again. It's not the end of the world and I can work round it it's just anoying. Any clues anyone?

I answer only to say that it does not happen in a VAIO FullHD.

If you have the same Operating System on both at this point I think it's "something wrong" in the Laptop not in PMH...
