Which lens should I get for a6500

limcder56 — Wed, 17 Jul 2019 11:15:47 GMT

I am looking for a bit help choosing a new lens for my birthday. I’m thinking the SEL90M28G E 90mm F/2.8 Macro Telephoto Lens to compliment my 16/50 lens, 55/210 and the 70/300 F4.5.

Am I wasting my husbands money on it and if so what would you suggest. Budget is no more than £1000

I would appreciate any help and advice.

Thanks

Linda

Hi Linda,

Please see the following help article on Tips from the pros when choosing lenses here.

I'd also recommend speaking with your local camera retailer who will be able to advise you further.

Best wishes,

Sean Mc

Hi Sean, thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I will check out the tips for choosing a lens to see if it helps me decide on my birthday present! It’s a minefield with so many to choose from, I’m spoiled for choice and I want one to compliment what I have. I use the 70/300 most of the time, I love it!

I’m interested in Macro and street photography as well as the wildlife in my garden and I thought the Sony community would be a good place to start to help me decide.

Cheers

Linda
