Vlogging with the a6300

Hello everyone!

I recently bought the a6300 which came with a kit lens (3.5-5.6/16-50 Sony Lens)

I am not trained in the use of cameras but enjoy playing with photos and video and editing same via Mac.

My question is to any vloggers out there or video experts.....I will be using the camera to film/video a friend who presents and demo's on TV. In addition she also does some free uploads that I will be filming that can last anything from 30-120 minutes. I would also like to eventually do DVD's for her.

The demo-ing is done from a seated position at a table, filming head on from about 1m away; so there's no moving about, just face shots and hand shots of what she's demoing. I will also do some overhead shots.

I would really appreciate knowing peoples thoughts on what the best lens is for filming that scenario. I'm thinking it must be very similar to vlogging from your desk at home?

the lens you have seems suitable to me - at least by your explanation of what you are planning to do.
