Spots on photo

I bought a Sony a 6500 last year and before that I had a Nexus 6. With both of them I get mysterious spots appearing on the resultant pictures, noticeably in a clear blue sky background as per the example attached. Any ideas what this is ? I cleaned the filter thoroughly.but still there

Hello @ILFSPORTSMAN2,

that looks to me like dort on the lens or on the sensor itself.

Did you ever perform a lens-swap in a very dusty environment?

If so it could be that dust landed on the sensor and that it needs to be cleaned.

Most camera shops perform sensor cleanups.
