Hello,

I have a mechanical problem with my HDR-FX1E camcorder. The tape will not fully load and is ejected immediately. Is this a difficult problem or expensive repair to solve ?

Hi Andy,

This often happens when the drum becomes sticky due to humidity.

Unfortunately if the tape has stuck to the drum once you have to clean the drum.

Usually this shouldn't be too expensive if no other parts are broken or worn.

Thx for the fast reply. It doesn't get that far that the tape comes out.
Everything inside looks very clean.
The problem started with not using the camera for over 1 year.

Hello,
Probably there is an error in the tape transport mechanics. Is there an error in the monitor or display? Example: C: 32: 10?
It would then have to be replaced that tape drive.

Before this problem when the tape still could fully be inserted I got these CXX - errors but now no errors anymore.
