Sony TA-AN1000 does not support Spotify lossless

Hi,

I talked to Sony tecnical support about TA-AN1000 receiver and Spotify lossless audio. They told me that TA-AN1000 does not support Spotify lossless.

I asked if it is in harware or firmware issue and I did not get answer.

So can it be fixed with firmware update or do we have to wait new receiver, which supports Spotify lossless?

Hi @sipuli,

what do you expect? This is a user - user forum.

I don't use Spotify, so I can't test it on my Sony TA-AN1000 receiver.

To clarify you mean the issue is happening with the app on the AV-Receiver? Have you reached out to Spotify? Because Sony is NOT programming apps which run on their devices. Spotify is responsible for the features in the app itself.

Thank you. Sure I know this is user forum I just wanted to ask if other users have some more information, because I have not got any from Sonys end.

Of course I have contacted Spotify snd they told me that problem is at Sonys end.

Spotify Lossless compatibility depends on both the device and the device manufacturer’s software (it must support the new lossless functionality via Spotify Connect).
