Its been connected to a smart lg tv through the right cables (definitely ) I.e hdmi + optical audio. Most times I change the input .eg dtv, sat, network or smart the sound fails on the dvb though the connection is there as I turn the sound up its been displayed on the tv but no sound comes out.
