Proximity Sensor Issue for Xperia XZ

Hi,

Well the normal situation when in call and the phone is near the ear the screen will turn off and when you put away the device for example to dial a number the screen turn on to make any operation. In my case it stays off all the time until I either end the call or to put my finger over the sensor to turn it on ( its not just simply put a finger it involve alot of hassle) I've preformed software repair using pc companion but unfortunately it didn't work.

Any suggestions other than take my devive to service center🙏

Is there anything covering or partially covering the proximity sensor, such as a protective film, glass?

No nothing is covering the screen.

Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test

Yes. Its clear that its not working! Is there any precise patch for this issue or its not common!

Could it be hardware malfunction ?

I've just tested in safe mode but it failed to pass the ear proximity.

6 months ago I had same issue along with othe issues and service center replaced the device with another under since it was under warranty . I never thought that I'll face the same issue again specifically that it seems its not common!!
