In-call volume trouble. Always at highest. Doesn't save.

Hey people,
I am facing trouble with the in call volume of my xz. The problem is that whenever I receive a call the volume is at the highest. I lower and change the volume during the call but the next call it is again returned to the highest volume. It is really teasing. I think this happened after the Nougat update. How can I resolve this issue?

does this happen when you are on safe mode?

No it happens on the normal mode. Never tried it on safe mode.

if you don't experience this in safe mode then it's a third party app acting up

@Mustafakosker, no I meant, can you try it on safe mode.. just to eliminate the probable software problem,
