Yesterday got the guts to test underwater pics, after almost one year since I have the phone:) Nice photos, but both cameras were steamed, the phone was less than 50 cm underwater.. Is this normal?

On an unofficial capacity I'd say no - You could open the flaps and try getting your phone to heat up by playing games or taking videos etc but if that fails then I'm sorry to hear this but you would need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

well, i got my kids watching cartoons on Youtube for about an hour or so, and the main camera is dry!

Still, not sure if I will try underwater pictures again, if this problem continues, although I want to..

I expect an official answer/advice.
