Xperia z3 sms inbox empty.

Good morning people, I was wondering if anyone had encountered this before. I woke up this morning and in the inbox for the default sms / mms / messaging app only had draft messages I hadn't sent in it. My contacts seem fine but I can't find the messages anywhere. If I send a contact a text the old texts do not appear either.
Id really like my old messages back if possible.

It seems that you deleted the messages, you could download a different messaging app, perhaps Google Messenger

Try clearing cache of Messaging app:
- Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Messaging -> Force stop, Clear data and restart your phone. (This will not delete any messages, just refreshing the cache)
