Hello
I have had my Sony Xperia z2 for well over a year now and I am facing a rather strange problem. Whenever I put my phone in my pocket it suddenly heats up to a very high temperature. I don't know why this is happening and it happens when no apps are running nor is the phone under any pressure. Is there a solution to this or do I need to get this fixed? Also does the warranty cover this problem if its not software and how do I claim it if so?

Hi Ti1, welcome to the community!

It is normal for a phone to heat up if you are calling, transmitting data, playing games etc for an extended amount of time however if this is happening after no or light usage I highly reccommend contacting Sony Xperia Customer Care in your region so you can have your phone checked by a service agent - your local team will be able to better advise any queries in regards to warranty.

When u are not using your phone does not mean the phone is not active. There will always be some app running in the background that causes the CPU to get hot. I suggest you try Cooler Master from App Store. It will tell you what app is running that is spiking the temperature so you can decide go close it. If the app can bd deleted, choose whether you still want it. If the app is vital, than put it in white list. Try and see whether this help.
