Xperia Z3+ messaging glitch

I'm having problems with the messaging app on my Xperia z3+. The phones brand new and I have tried restarting the phone, restarting the app with no success. The messaging top bar merges with the top message I have whether I have read it or not, but when the phone is turned lanscape it dissapears. Any help would be appreciated!!

Hi @nathan0709

Please, first try boot your device into safe mode as explained here. If this issue is not present in this mode, that indicates a third party app is causing the problem. In this case exit Safe Mode and then un-install any third party apps you don't need and clear the cache/data for the apps you want to keep. I´m at disposal for any question.

Just tried it and the problems still there. The bar at the top that says 'messaging' which is blue merges with the first message.

Ok,you can also try from your Home screen the following:

1. Tap the Application screen icon.

2. Find and tap Settings -> Apps.

3. Swipe to the All tab.

4. Find and tap on Messaging application

5. Tap Force stop -> Clear data.

6. Restart the phone.

I have tried it here myself on Z3+ and same thing happens for me. I think this is how the messaging application is designed for the Z3+.

Could you test if you encounter the same with a different messaging app? try google messenger and report back.

Why when I turn the phone landscape would it appear normal?

Google messenger is fine its just the Sony messaging application

So other messaging apps are fine, and while on safe mode you encounter the same problem, then it could be an issue with Sony's messaging app, @Hampus could you replicate the issue?

Yes, it is the same for me while testing on Z3+. I'm not sure whether this is a problem or according to design, but I will forward this internally to see if I can get some further information.
