Deleted pics are haunting me

I have pics which I've deleted that come back within other apps, Facebook especially, and they take the place of pics that are actually there.

Try Clearing the album app data.

How to clear data on apps.
From your Home screen

1. Tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Apps.
3. Swipe to the All tab.
4. Find and tap on the album app.
5. Tap Force stop > Clear data.
6. Restart the phone

If I select the picture that shouldn't be there, it actually posts the proper photo.

Hi lucflauzon, welcome to the community!

When you deleted the pictures which app did you delete them through? I advise deleting pictures through the File Commander app as that should ensure they are deleted for good, everywhere on the phone. Perhaps go into the Facebook app > tap the three horizontal lines > scroll down and tap App settings > see whether Sync photos is selected. You can also go into the Messenger app > tap the Settings icon > Data & storage > is Save Photos selected?

The "ghost" pic in question dosent even appear in the file commander, hmmmm, I'm gonna delete the pic it's associated itself with and I'll come back when it happens again. Thanks for the quick responses. Greatly appreciated

Try the following: settings-apps-all-media storage,force stop and clear data. This will index all your media files again.
