Is it possible to go back to OLD FIRMWARE? It seems so laggy right now specially on the UI my xperia z3 compact is alot smoother does all the xperia z3+ users experience this? and why is it sometimes 2 of the cores says "Stopped" when i view it on CPU-Z? Is that normal or my unit is faulty?

I think that is what latest generation of CPUs can do, practically if not needed, other cores will be idle.

I have Z3+, Z2, & ZL. Z3+ is the fastest one by a long shot. I think you probably want to do a 'repair' through PC companion. It should clean up all the junks (back up your data though :D).

It's also perfectly normal to see few cores in stopped state using CPU-Z or other apps. If all cores are running to handle nomral apps, then it's actually a problem and will cause battery drain. It's just a like V8 car driving through slow traffic where half of the cylinders get shut off to improve the fuel mileage.

The drop down quick toggles seems a lil bit laggy by a few frames than my compact. But when i tried my co-workers regular z3 its the same thing pretty laggy on that drop down quick toggles menu. Did you experience those as well?

& if those two stopped cores are really bothering you, try profiling (in advanced mode) using trepn app. You could profile with overlays showing all CPU freq/load, GPU freq./load, etc. CPU 1-4 vitually always run (those are the a53/little cores). So you could just profile antutu or other heavy benchmarks with overalys showing CPU5-8 (A57/big cores) info only. (CPU-Z labels them as Core 4-7 as it starts indexing from 0). All those big cores do run occasionally depending on the workload.

Or you could just take my screenshot and be done with it

I'm on the same FW - zero lag on the stuff you mentioned. Do you have live wallpaper and/or other widgets on your homescreen? Or anything different that your Z3 compact doesn't have? It's certainly caused by some other process running in your background.
