Screen switching off when making a call

I have Sony Expedia Z2, since yesterday any time when making a phone call the screen is switching off and there is no way to switch it back on until call is over which may be an issue when connect to answering machine and want to disconnect. Even a power button seems to be not responsive. So when calling I have absolutely no control over my phone. How to fix it and is it another bug in Lolipop the biggest catastrophy since Windows?

Go to settings-apps-all,scroll down to incall ui and tick show notifications.
